Social for Google
Within the Google marketing group, I led an R&D venture to experiment with various social media channels as a means to spread Google's products worldwide. While a lot of the results and learnings are confidential, my work ranged from the very quantitative to the very creative.
I mainly dedicated my energies to Chrome, Google's web browser, but also acted as a social media marketing consultant for Google, YouTube, Google Mobile (incl. the Nexus phone launches), Piknik, Google Maps, Google Sketchup, and Google Offers.
In 9 months, I grew Chrome's social media audience from nil to over 5 million. Drove concrete, measurable results (installs of the browser, improved retention) via social networks. Collected data/results on efficacy of social tools in over 100 countries in order to establish company-wide social strategies.
